What your purchase gives you

A personal, non-transferable license to read the files and to print one copy for your own use. You may quote a short passage with attribution, as ordinary fair use or fair dealing allows.

What it does not give you

• Resale, in any form, at any price, including as a bonus with something else.
• Sharing the files, or your download links, with anyone.
• Uploading them to file-sharing sites, cloud folders, forums, groups or messaging channels.
• Republishing, translating, adapting or turning the content into another product, course, video, audio or newsletter.
• Using the text to train a machine learning model.
• Removing the copyright notices from the files.

Take it down and that is the end of it. We would rather send an email than a lawyer, and we usually do. Where a file keeps circulating, we issue takedown notices to the host.

A note on the name

Warren Astley is a pen name. The Gentle Patriarch and The Gentle Patriarch Project are used as the names of this work and this publishing project.
