A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This one uses a modest number of them, and this page says what they are for.
Some cookies are set by this website. Others are set by the platform that hosts these pages, by our payment providers during checkout, and by advertising platforms where we run adverts. Each of those third parties has its own policy governing what it does with what it collects.
We use Microsoft Clarity, a free analytics tool, to understand how these pages are actually used. Clarity sets first-party cookies and records how visitors move through the site: pages viewed, scrolling, clicks, and mouse movement. It also produces heatmaps, which are aggregated pictures of where people click and how far down a page they read.
We use it for one purpose: to find the places where a page is confusing or broken, and fix them.
What Clarity does not record. The contents of form fields are masked and never sent — this includes your name, your email address and, during checkout, your payment details. We have set Clarity to its strictest masking mode. Your card details never reach this website in the first place: they are entered with our payment provider.
How to opt out. Blocking analytics cookies in your browser, or using a browser setting or extension that blocks analytics scripts, stops Clarity from recording. Nothing on this site stops working if you do. Microsoft's own privacy statement governs what Microsoft does with what Clarity collects.
Where the law requires your consent, you are asked before any analytics or advertising cookie is set, and you can change your answer at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block the strictly necessary ones, the checkout will not work.
Blocking advertising cookies does not mean you see fewer adverts. It means the ones you see are less likely to be relevant, and it means we learn less about whether ours are working.
What we do with the data itself is set out in the Privacy Policy. Questions go to support@thegentlepatriarch.com.
